The Mount Agamenticus Steering Committee has been working to protect the natural resources in this area and to improve visitor experiences and safety by conducting stewardship and outreach projects that balance water quality, wildlife habitat, and sustainable recreation.The program relies heavily on support through grants, volunteers, and donations to successfully reverse the trend of erosion and habitat fragmentation that had occurred over 30 years of neglect.

Mount A Needs Friends |
You are invited to become a member of the Friends of Mount A Advocacy Group. - Friends will assist the land manager in carrying out educational, interpretative and public use objectives for the Mount Agamenticus Conservation Program on over 10,000 contiguous acres without compromising the integrity of Mount A’s sensitive ecological habitat. Friends participate in a variety of ways- from financial support through fundraising or membership dues, to actively volunteering on projects or staffing a visitor contact station.
